Blog... if you're out of models to paint...

Don't you hate it when you run out of models to paint?

So, in my previous update I already wrote about a new army I was working on... and working on it I have. 73 models & 1 vehicle in less than a month. And I'm not even at the 1000 point mark. I don't know what's sadder... that amount and not even reaching 1000 points, or me painting that bunch in that timespan. Oh, and I should add, that in between I finished up my Terminator army. Should still post a full army pic, but since I take most of my pictures outside, and the dutch weather has been more than shitty for that (Rain and rarely any hot weather (like the summer should be); not that I mind), it'll have to wait. Besides that; I took pictures, and when I checked on my computer, the memorycard in my camera was empty... and I didn't want to unpack the bunch again. Yeah... screw that, I'm lazy.

So, yeah... Orks (insert random Waaaaaaaaaaagh! here and there). I actually like the models a lot, it's just... at some point painting them gets a bit dull. I've tried painting them upside down already. Might try a drinkerhat with 2 cups of vodka next time... srsly, painting should be fun. If only they'd talk while getting painted...

The list so far, of what I've painted for my Ork army;
1 Ork Trukk
1 Warboss w/ Powerclaw (y'know... that Black reach dude)
3 Deffkoptas
61 boys (2 big shootas; 22 shootas, 37 sluggas)
3 Nob Bikers (1 powerclaw, 1 powerclaw/bosspole, 1 big choppa)
5 Nobs (1 powerclaw, 4 big choppas)

Looking at the box I've stored them in, it looks like a big moshpit, which was hilarious considering I was just blasting Pantera while packing them in a box.

What have planned I... at least some Burna's and either another trukk or a looted wagon. I'll see where I go from there... I had plans for a few of those new Dakkajets, but with that I have a totally silly idea for an armylist. 2 Warpheads leading a bunch, and trying to call a Waagh! each turn... giving the jets "a few" extra shots. Might still try that with my current list after I hit the 1000 point mark, I could deal without the warboss. I'd rather run a wacky glasshammer Orklist either way.

In other news;... not that much. Project is progressing slowly. Planning out a new illustration. Scrapped initial plans of what I wanted to do, making new ideas. Research, write stuff, rinse, repeat. I do have some interesting ideas and/or routes I want to take it in the future. And since I'm out of models now, I can keep my mind on my project again for a while... without going into "I-must-paint-OCD-mode". Silly balance in life... you're confusing me.

Oh well, back to brainstorming.
